Axiant's flagship gold asset
Located approximately 130 km south of Darwin in the Pine Creek Orogen of the Northern Territory, Shoobridge comprises a single granted exploration licence (EL31407) covering approximately 230 km², largely on pastoral lease land. Axiant holds the rights to all minerals within the licence other than lithium, which is retained by Core Lithium.
The project sits within the historically productive Pine Creek gold province — host to major structurally controlled deposits including Cosmo-Howley, Union Reefs and Mount Todd. Gold mineralisation is structurally controlled along the north-northwest trending Shoobridge Shear, within folded metasedimentary rocks of the South Alligator Group.
Exploration by Core between 2022 and 2026 — soil geochemistry, geological mapping, detailed geophysics and drilling — defined a coherent gold-anomalous trend approximately 4.5 km long, extending from Mt Shoobridge through Old Company to Fortitude. Drilling has confirmed shallow, bedrock-hosted gold and points to a structurally controlled system with potential along strike and at depth.
Geological summary
Mineralisation is characterised by:
- Quartz vein-hosted gold associated with shear zones and fold hinges
- Strong structural control within a NNW-striking, moderately to steeply east-dipping corridor
- A pyrite–arsenopyrite sulphide association
Gold occurs as multiple sub-parallel lodes within a broader halo of lower-grade mineralisation and pervasive silica–sericite–chlorite alteration.
Prospects
Mt Shoobridge, Old Company and Fortitude are the priority focus for Axiant's first two years of exploration following listing, alongside a pipeline of conceptual regional targets.
Mt Shoobridge
The most advanced prospect, tested by multiple historical and recent RC and diamond drilling programs. Selected intercepts include:

Old Company
Approximately 1–1.5 km south-southeast of Mt Shoobridge along the mineralised trend. Drilling is limited to date (six RC holes), with a standout intercept below.

Fortitude
Approximately 2–3 km south-southeast of Mt Shoobridge, interpreted as a quartz-veined alteration zone on the Shoobridge trend. Early drilling did not intersect material mineralisation — likely reflecting uncertainty in the orientation of the target structure — and recent geophysical surveys and reinterpretation will guide future targeting.
Regional targets
Integrated geological and geophysical interpretation has generated a suite of regional targets — geophysical anomalies, structural targets and prospective zones along the Shoobridge Shear corridor and adjacent splays — that remain largely untested and will be advanced in parallel.
